Overview

We are looking for four PGA interns for the summer of 2026. This will be a three month internship.

Nestled upon the bluffs overlooking Lake Sakakawea, The Links of North Dakota has frequently been recognized as the #1 Golf Course in North Dakota by Golfweek and Golf Digest, as well as the 2nd most affordable golf course on their Top 100 lists!

Experience Required

No prior experience required.

Essential Responsibilities

Assisting the Head Pro in daily operations, tournament operations,
overseeing the golf cart fleet, assisting in food and beverage preparation as needed and
assisting in maintaining RV/Cabin areas. Food prep generally consists of making
sandwiches and handing out snacks or beverages. We do not have a full restaurant or
bar.
We have a 20-lot RV park and 12 cabins in which everyone shares in keeping neat and
tidy.
You will be expected to work regular shifts in the golf shop, assist with the junior
program along with marshaling from time to time. This does not include all the daily
chores required. You will need to work hard, but you will be compensated with both a
fair wage, living quarters and all the golf you can handle, free of charge.
We will do our best to tailor the internship to your needs and strengths while still
focusing on teaching and helping to grow your knowledge of what it takes to run a
course from start to finish. We all work long hours, but no one is asked to do anything
that we don't all work on together. You WILL NOT just be a cart kid; you have our
promise on that.

Our PGA, Mr. Jay Davis, is off site, but has the full backing from the PGA to act as
mentor and instructor. Mr. Davis has 34 years of experience and has been a General
Manager/PGA and teaching professional during his extensive career. We are so
blessed to have him onboard and know that he will add volumes of insight to our PGA
intern program.
Mitch Fifer has been our Head Golf Professional for the last two years and is currently
working to complete his PGA program after touring as a golf professional. Mitch has
worked at The Links since he was a kid and is local to our area.

Benefits

Wage/salary: $18.00/hr. plus overtime after 40 hrs./week
Food: All employees' meals are at a 50% discount.
Lodging: On property lodging, double cabin occupancy. Utilities included.
Travel Reimbursement: Gas reimbursement for travel expenses.
Golf privileges: Golf anytime and as much as you want at no cost, as long as it does
not impede your responsibilities. (i.e.: last year we had a wonderful intern
who made 90 rounds in 90 days, and worked a full schedule)
